NIFT Entrance 2020

National Institute of Fashion Technology invites online application for bachelor programs in fashion technology. Last date of online application is 31 December 2019.

Date of written entrance examination (General Ability Test (GAT) ) is 19 January 2020 and will be a Objective type question Paper.

Situation Test / Group Discussion / Interview for those who clear written entrance exam will be conducted during April-May 2020.  

Educational Qualification:

1. Bachelor of Design (B.Des) Programmes (Fashion Design / Leather Design / Accessory Design / Textile Design / Knitwear Design / Fashion Communication): Plus Two (Any subject combination) / 3-4 year Diploma

2. Bachelor of Fashion Technology (Apparel Production) (B.FTech) Programme: Plus Two with  Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / 3-4 year Diploma

Maximum Age:  23 years

THE EXAMINATION PROCESS (for all programmes)

The process for each programme is separately listed below: B.Des For candidates to the UG Design programmes, the selection process comprises a written examination comprising of a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT), followed by a Situation Test to be undertaken by shortlisted candidates of the written examination.

B.FTech For candidates to the UG Fashion Technology programme, the selection process comprises a written examination comprising of a General Ability Test (GAT).

The objective type tests are subject to negative marking. The negative marking will apply at the rate of 0.25 each wrong answer.
